  (Date Purchased: July 9, 2016)

  (Date Purchased: April 8, 2016)

  (Date Purchased: July 23, 2016)

Note: All equipment is in good condition and operational.

Interested adoptor shall apply for SETUP assistance by submitting a proposal along with the following documents:

The Philippine Science High School (PSHS) System is calling all qualified and eligible graduating Grade 6 pupils to take the National Competitive Examination (NCE) on October 22, 2016. Attached below is a guide for the processing of Application Forms.

The PSHS System is mandated to offer a free scholarship for secondary course with emphasis on subjects pertaining to science with the end goal of preparing its students for careers in science and technology and was established by Republic Act 3661. From the first campus in Diliman, Quezon City in 1963, it has at present expanded into eleven campuses nationwide. The PSHS- Eastern Visayas Campus is located at Brgy. Pawing, Palo, Leyte.

For the mean time limited information can be viewed and copied by any interested users. 2015 DOST Undergrad Scholarships now open for application

The Science Education Institute of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST-SEI) now accepts applications for the undergraduate scholarship programs for the school year 2015-2016.

Graduating fourth year high school students for this school year 2014-2015 who belong to the top 5% of the graduating class are qualified to apply. Other criteria include the following: natural-born Filipino citizen; poor, talented and deserving student who belongs to a family whose socio-economic status does not exceed the set values of certain indicators; member of the graduating class of a DOST-SEI identified or DepEd-recognized science high school; resident of the municipality for the last 4 years as attested by the barangay; and of good moral character and in good health.

Passing the qualifying exams slated on September 21, 2014 is a requirement to become a DOST Scholar. Deadline for submission of application is on August 22, 2014. Forms can be obtained at any DOST offices in the provinces and the Regional Offices. It cn also be downloaded through the following links:

The DOST SEI SY 2013-2014 Scholarship qualifiers are entitled to free tuition and other school fees, book allowance, PE or NSTP uniform allowance, free round trip for one economy-class transportation if they study outside their home province, monthly living allowance, group health and accident insurance and post-graduation clothing allowance.

As DOST SEI scholars they can enroll in State Universities and Colleges (SUC) and other higher education institutions recognized by the Commission on Higher Education as Centers of Excellence or Centers of Development.

The SY 2011-2012 Science and Technology Scholarships now open for applicants

The Department of Science and Technology Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) is now accepting applications for the Science and Technology Undergraduate Scholarships for 2011. Application forms are available for free and can be submitted at any DOST Regional and Provincial Offices around the country. SY 2010-2011 DOST Scholarships qualifiers

A total of 1,023 fourth year high school students passed this year's Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) undergraduate scholarship examination, which include 23 students who were given special scholarships for bringing honors to the Philippines when they garnered medals in prestigious international science and mathematics competitions recognized by SEI. Attention: DOST Scholars

The Department of Science and Technology Regional Office VIII released a warning to all DOST scholars and their families on the presence of extortion groups who give information in exchange of money victimizing DOST SEI scholars and their parents.

The press release came after reports of a case in Cordilla Autonomous Region (CAR). DOST CAR coordinated with the local PNP and conducted entrapment operation against the group. When confronted the group denied the allegations and said they were just offering training courses for the scholars, the report stated.

Scholars are therefore advised to keep watch of this 'modus operandi' and inform the local DOST offices if such cases happened. In Region VIII you may contact the Regional Office at (053) 323 6356.

2010-2011 DOST SEI Scholarships

The DOST SEI Scholarship Examinations for SY 2010-2011 will be simultaneously conducted on November 15, 2009 in all Test Centers throughout the country. For Biliran the Test Center is located at the Audio Visual Room, Andaya Building, Naval State University, Naval, Biliran Province.

A total of 120 students from Biliran Province are expected to take the exams.

Takers are advised to bring with them their identifications (School ID) and examination permits. In cases where permits are lost or did not reach them, any valid ID and certification from the school head that they have submitted their applications and the same were recorded by authorized DOST official shall be considered.

5th Visayas Cluster S & T Fair

We are announcing the conduct of the 5th Visayas Cluster Science and Technology Fair on August 3-6, 2009 in Tacloban City. This S & T Fair is not only for science and technology professionals and students but also is designed for the benefit of the general public. We therefore call the general populace to come and participate.

The activity once again will feature the contribution of Science and Technology in the different sectors of society, the professionals, businessmen, and common people alike. A new type of exhibits will be featured during the fairs; products out of the firms the DOST assisted will also be sold in the exhibit area; and technologies that affect the people will be presented during the technical sessions.
